Barrancosmos 14-15 september

Registration is open for BARRANCOSMOS, the party of the stars, which will take place between the 14th and 15th of September at the Noudar Castle, in the Noudar Nature Park, in Barrancos.

Under the Alqueva sky, this event, open to everyone, is an opportunity to see the Milky Way, planets, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies as well as discuss and mingle with researchers and amateur astronomers.

BARRANCOSMOS is a joint organization between the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences, the Portuguese Association of Amateur Astronomers, the ALBIREO Association, EDIA, the Noudar Nature Park, the Luz Museum and the Barrancos City Council, with the support from Rádio Corval Alentejo.

Saturday, 14 September

2pm | Opening at the Cineteatro de Barrancos

2:30 pm | Presentations

5:30 pm | Trip to Noudar Castle (bus available)

6pm | Musical entertainment activities and astronomical observations. Stalls with local produce and crafts.

7pm | Flying dinner

8:30pm-6:00am | Astronomical observations
